Let's Play Ball South Jordan
Tuesday marked a historic day in South Jordan and in Daybreak where the Salt Lake Bees broke into their brand-new ballpark.
The Salt Lake Bees, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, officially relocated to a new ballpark in South Jordan, Utah, for the 2025 season. The new stadium, named Daybreak Field at America First Square.
Located in the master-planned Daybreak community, the ballpark will feature seating for 7,500 fans, including open-lawn, premium, club, and field-level options. It will offer a variety of local food and beverage choices, event spaces, family-friendly gathering areas, and picturesque views of the Wasatch Mountains. The venue is designed to accommodate year-round programming, with amenities such as an alcohol-free zone and a team store. Its proximity to the Mountain View Corridor and a UTA Red Line TRAX Station ensures easy accessibility for fans across the Wasatch Front.
The decision to relocate follows the expiration of the Bees' lease at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City, where they had played since 1994. The team played at Smith's Ballpark through the 2024 season before transitioning to the new facility in South Jordan as of yesterday, April 8, 2025.
This is more than just a ballpark, the area will feature America First Square, an outdoor sports and entertainment plaza designed for year-round activities such as concerts, summer games, ice skating, and holiday events. The plaza will also include shops, restaurants, and entertainment options, aiming to serve as a community hub for residents and visitors alike.
