VA LOAN UPDATE:
Several common VA appraisal conditions were recently removed — and it could make VA financing more competitive in today’s market.
As of May 1:
✅ Certain detached structure requirements were removed
✅ Peeling paint conditions on newer homes were relaxed
✅ Some inspection requirements were simplified
These updates may help reduce delays tied to minor property issues while improving the path to closing for eligible veteran homebuyers.
